Welcome

Canterbury is the campus ministry of the Episcopal Church at Mississippi State University. We are a Christian community of undergraduate and graduate students committed to worshiping in the Anglican tradition, striving together “to seek and serve Christ in all persons,” and aspiring both to enjoy and make known God’s reconciling love for the world.

Our ministry is named after what is traditionally viewed as the place where, over 1,400 years ago, Christianity in England was definitively established. Over the centuries, the Church in England evolved and expanded, while maintaining its historical roots, and today is regarded as the “Mother Church” of the worldwide Anglican Communion—of which the Episcopal Church in the United States is a member. As a ministry of the Episcopal Church, we joyfully draw upon this rich history and the resources it has to offer for the Christian life.

All—regardless of denominational or religious affiliation—are invited to join us at any of our WEEKLY SERVICES & GATHERINGS. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you and would be delighted to walk with you. Come as we gather for communion with God and fellowship with one another. Come and listen for God’s voice and direction for our lives. Come and be part of Canterbury at MSU.
